Our charity and business is dedicated to empowering individuals from lower socioeconomic backgrounds within the creative arts sector. We commit to upholding our mission and ensuring all our activities align with our core values of inclusivity, respect, and opportunity.

We treat all individuals, beneficiaries, employees, volunteers, and stakeholders with respect, dignity and empathy. We foster an environment free from discrimination, harassment, or any form of mistreatment.

We manage our resources responsibly and ensure that all donations are used efficiently for the betterment of our beneficiaries, and we have full transparency with finances with our board of trustees. 

Privacy and Confidentiality

We respect the privacy of our beneficiaries, stakeholders and participants. Personal information is handled confidentially and used only for the purposes it was collected for.

Anti-Discrimination Policy

Discrimination of any kind, including but not limited to protected characteristics as per the Equality Act 2010, will not be tolerated within our organisation.

Conflict of Interest

All employees and volunteers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest. We ensure that decisions are made solely based on the best interests of our beneficiaries and organisation. 

  1. Workshop Hosts:

    • Workshop hosts are required to adhere to the guidelines established by the Casting Workshop Collective (The CWC). This ensures consistency, professionalism, and fairness in the execution of workshops while prioritising the safety and well-being of participants.

  2. The Luke Westlake Scholarship Panel:

    • The Luke Westlake Scholarship Panel is expected to maintain a neutral and unbiased stance during the decision-making process. This guarantees that the scholarship is awarded fairly and solely based on merit and need.

  3. Board of Trustees:

    • Our Board of Trustees are requested to disclose any involvement with other boards that share the same or similar interests as Just Add Milk Productions CIO. This transparency ensures that potential conflicts of interest are identified and managed appropriately, enabling the board to make decisions in the best interests of both the beneficiaries and the organisation.


Compliance with Laws and Regulations

We comply with all applicable laws and regulations governing charities, fundraising, and safeguarding. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action or termination of work within the Just Add Milk Productions CIO.

Reporting Misconduct

We encourage a culture of open communication. Anyone who becomes aware of misconduct or unethical behaviour within the organisation has a responsibility to report it promptly through the appropriate channels. 

This code of conduct outlines the principles that guide our charity's actions, fostering a positive and supportive environment for all involved. It helps ensure that our mission of helping those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds and young people is carried out with integrity, compassion and safety. 

The Reporting Process:

  1. Initial Reporting:

    • Any instance of misconduct or unethical behaviour within the organisation should be promptly reported through the appropriate channels. The initial point of contact for reporting are the Executive Directors of the charity:

    • If the reporter prefers not to approach the Executive Directors directly, they are encouraged to email the chair of the board:

    • If the situation requires escalation to a third party, individuals are encouraged to reach out to Jackie Elliman at the Independent Theatre Council:

This reporting process ensures that misconduct is addressed promptly and appropriately, contributing to a culture of transparency and accountability within our organisation.
