Rowan Robinson Stars in ITV Thriller Passenger, Streaming on BritBox This Autumn

2020 Luke Westlake Scholarship alumnus Rowan Robinson appears in major new ITV mystery thriller Passenger, premiering on BritBox International this October.

Rising British talent Rowan Robinson joins the cast of Passenger, ITV’s gripping new thriller series set to stream on BritBox International from Thursday, 17 October 2025. Created by actor-turned-writer Andrew Buchan (Broadchurch, The Honourable Woman), the six-part series delves into the eerie underbelly of a Northern town clinging to familiarity in the face of inexplicable change.

Rowan Robinson plays Katie Wells in chilling new crime drama

In a standout role, Rowan Robinson portrays local girl Katie Wells, whose mysterious overnight disappearance sets the unsettling tone for the series. Katie vanishes without a trace—only to return the next day, seemingly unharmed. While the town brushes the incident aside, Detective Riya Ajunwa (played by Wunmi Mosaku, Loki, Lovecraft Country) isn’t so easily convinced. For Riya, a relative outsider in the fading town of Chadder Vale, Katie’s strange absence and quiet reappearance mark the beginning of something far darker.

As unexplained crimes begin to ripple through the community, Riya is met with suspicion and resistance, while the townspeople scramble for simple answers—blaming outside forces like a controversial fracking site. But the truth might be far more unsettling than anyone is willing to accept.

A breakout moment for Rowan Robinson

For Rowan Robinson, a 2020 Luke Westlake Scholarship alumna, Passenger marks a significant career milestone. Her performance as Katie Wells anchors the emotional and psychological intrigue of the series, establishing Robinson as a compelling new voice in British screen acting.
