Top 10 Headshot Photographers for Actors 2024
Now in its second year, the Top 10 Headshot Photographers list has been announced. Voted for by over 2000 actors, below are the top 10.
One of the absolute requirements for any actor, headshots. Though it’s hard to quantify what makes a great headshot, we agree that a great relationship in the room with the photographer is a bonus. But with tons of photographers to choose from, it’s sometimes hard to know who to go with.
1) YellowBelly
For a second year running, YellowBelly have been voted as our top headshot photographer in the UK.
Based in Hackney, YellowBelly are a fantastic company that receives rave reviews regularly. Their work goes beyond headshots, though, and they’ve been featured in multiple publications and programmes including BBC, Netflix and RadioTimes.

Moving up from 5th, Stewart Bywater hits 2nd place this year and as a renowned headshot photographer with a distinctive style.

Another brand new entry, Matt Jones prides himself in providing access to top level headshots for actors.
Based in South East London Matt offers incredibly affordable headshot services for actors, as well as being clued up on exactly how to get the best out of your shoot. With tons of 5 star reviews, he has affordability and professionalism at the forefront of his business.
4) Adam Hills Photography
A brand new entry to the 2024 list, Adam Hills joins the top 10 with his extensive knowledge and skills as a headshot photographer.
Based in Greenwich, South East London, he has a fantastic portfolio of shots and is widely recommended.
5) Chris Mann
Another brand new entry, Chris Mann joins the top 10 list with his famous style of photography well known and loved throughout the industry.
Based in South West London, Chris has a headshot photography style that took the industry by storm a few year ago. An excellent photographer and an incredibly well reviewed and praised professional.
6) Melanie Gail Photography
Melanie Gail retains her place in the top 10 this year and continues to grow in popularity with her excellent, collaborative process to achieve actors’ perfect headshot.
